Whitebox Technologies, a rapidly growing Baltimore based e-commerce startup, is looking for a high energy and self-motivated E-Commerce Advertising Specialist to join our team in the Baltimore, Maryland area and become an integral part of our Marketplace Services team.

Marketplace growth strategists are able to make data driven decisions to provide proactive strategies to help client’s grow sales. Marketplace growth strategists are able to effectively communicate at senior levels, and have a proven track record of solving complex challenges on Amazon and other marketplaces. They demonstrate skill at driving business growth and influencing strategic change.

  • The marketplace growth strategists will be creating, monitoring and tracking online marketing campaigns on Amazon as well as new emerging platforms.
  • You will successfully be able to manage interesting and complex clients independently as well as lead day to day client engagement around e-commerce media performance and strategy. You will drive the client calls and monitor campaign activity against approved budgets.
  • The Marketplace growth strategist will act as a partner for our clients and consult with them around investment levels, product assortment and media backing while highlighting opportunities for the client and helping to rectify any potential issues that may arise.
  • You will also drive adoption and support for our data driven products

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client engagements and drive strategy discussions;
  • Help Client’s to plan and develop a budget and then deliver campaigns according to KPIs agreed to with the client;
  • Work closely with our account management, data & content, and sales teams on overall client strategy;
  • Provide guidance on product optimizations to ensure campaigns are set up for success; Managing keyword selection and optimum bid levels across available advertising options; Develop and manage reporting, analytics, and performance insights for digital marketing campaigns;
  • Establish key metric reports, track progress and trends, and effectively communicate campaign results and insights;
  • Work with teams to quickly identify and resolve any client issues

Qualifications:

  • Digital marketing and/or quantitative analytics experience;
  • Strong analytical skills, with adequate knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google sheets—pivot tables and ‘VLOOKUP’;
  • Detail-oriented, good project management and organizational skills;
  • Experience in developing, managing, and analyzing online advertising campaigns;
  • Possess strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills;
  • Innovative, scrappy, and independent thinker with the ability to influence using data; Ability to thrive in dynamic and demanding situations with minimum supervision;
  • Knowledge of Amazon Retail Analytics, Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Marketing Services, Amazon seller central is a plus;
